The poem, What Is Christmas, on the front cover was written by my grandfather for my mother, after she came home from gradeschool one day and announced she needed a Christmas poem to recite at school. Her dad said the he did not know of a good poem about Christmas, but he would write her one. The resulting What Is Christmas poem turned out to be a gem. My grandmother created the design and artwork. Christmas cards and posters of this poem are available at www.neihardt.com.
This CD is a collection of unique arrangements of well known and not so well known Christmas Carols and pieces. I meant it to be a collection that can be played and re-played throughout the Christmas Season. In fact, several have told me that What Is Christmas is a CD that they can “listen to over and over without tiring of it.” I do hope you will get great satisfaction from it as well.
